WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create super realistic hair stroke brows and the illusion of fuller brows. It involves using a disposable hand-tool with super fine needles to deposit pigment within the upper dermis layer of the skin to create the illusion of brow hair.

Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hairstroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle bundle. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and color. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. Microblading artists are not necessarily tattoo artists, and vice versa, because the techniques require different training.

HOW MICROBLADING WORKS

1. Client Consultation & Form Completion

Upon arrival, you’ll complete a brief medical history and consent form. We then conduct a detailed consultation to understand your goals, skin type, and desired brow shape and color.

2. Brow Mapping & Design

Using precise measurements and facial symmetry techniques, we custom-map your perfect brow shape. You’ll be part of the design process to ensure you’re 100% happy before we begin.

3. Color Matching

We select a pigment that complements your skin tone and natural brow hair, ensuring a soft, natural finish.

4. Numbing Application

A topical numbing cream is applied to ensure you stay comfortable throughout the procedure. We allow 20–30 minutes for it to fully take effect.

5. Microblading Procedure

Using a sterile, disposable hand tool with ultra-fine needles, we create delicate hair-like strokes in the skin. The process typically takes 60–90 minutes, with touch-ups along the way to perfect the detail.

6. Aftercare Instructions

Once finished, we thoroughly clean the area and apply a healing balm. You’ll receive a detailed aftercare guide to ensure optimal healing and pigment retention.
